Years ago, a friend informed me that a contestant for American Idol sang “my song” and got on the show….. “and you sing that song so much better”, she said. “I should audition then”, I said. Her response was, “You’re too old”.
Now here’s a beautiful, thoughtful intelligent woman who thinks for herself but she forgot about what’s possible.
So what did I say to my friend? “Wtf does that have to do with anything?” (We have that kind of relationship).
“Well they will invest in your career and you have to travel and sing” Anyway she realized that was silly as we talked about it.
……….But isn’t it fascinating how hypnotized we become to this kind of message?
So the question is: do you get how silly all this limitation due to age stuff is?????
We go so unconscious to these bullshit social messages! “It’s over after 40”, “Beauty, accomplishment, possibility are only for young people.”
Let’s trash all that, shall we?
